Hearts of Durham (sponsor)
The Hearts of Durham identifies a worthy community initiative to support each year, making Durham Region a better place to live, work and play. Since being founded in 2004, the organization has raised close to $400,000 regional charities and non-profit groups. Whitby Dunlops (sponsor)
Major League Hockey’s Whitby Dunlops – known locally as the Dunnies – won the Allan Cup in 1957 and 1959, and the 1958 World Championships. The team has included former Toronto Maple Leaf captain Sid Smith and Boston Bruins president Harry Sinden, and has a spot in the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame.
